Dupe Ige Kachi, who is popularly called IGE (pronounced ee-gay), is an all-round performer. She has been singing since she was seven years old. Born into a family of lovers of the arts, she has always appreciated all forms of music and dance, from classical to jazz and R&B. She honed her art in the several singing groups and choirs of the various churches that she attended as the child of a clergyman which include Laz Ekwueme Chorale, Steve Rhodes Voices, Chosen Treasure Choir (HOTR), Covenant Christian Centre Choir, MUSON, and several Anglican Church choirs. Even though she studied electrical/electronics engineering at the University of Lagos, the arts have been a part of her everyday life.
She has acted in a number of stage plays, and graced a number of concert stages like the Calabar Carnival 2005-2007, TOTAL 50th anniversary celebrations, “The Experience”, P.D.P Presidential rally dinner 2007, Celtel Brand Unveil, “The Platform”, Nigeria Stock Exchange Awards, The African-American concert and several MUSON classical concerts. She was an active member of the defunct neo-africanist theatre group called Rhythm of the Black Man, and she was one of the main actors in a stage play called 'What The Steward Saw'. She is also the sole presenter/host of a forth-coming musical magazine T.V programme called 'Groove Check'. She has written and performed several MTN jingles and songs and is a proud holder of MUSON certificates in voice, piano and theory of music, and is the vocal coach of MTN Project Fame West Africa.
Ige’s singing style could be described as soulful Rhythm and Blues with an eclectic blend of classical music, jazz and new-school flavor. She has worked with a number of artistes like Sammy Okposo, Provabs, JC Qrew, Cobhams, Yinka Davis, Rhymzo and Sunny Neji, just to mention a few. Her name – Ige, stands for a message of hope to all. Her uniquely distinctive velvety voice serenades your soul, granting you an inevitable savoury experience. Little wonder her admirers call her “Golden Voice”.
She is a dance teacher and educator with great skills and qualities. She started her professional dance career after an education at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State.
In 1999 she joined the famous Gospel dance club, Spirit of David (SOD), while in university. After graduating and Youth service, she then joined The Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria (SPAN) where she studied professional dance in different dance styles and served as a trainee instructor, full time dance instructor, Head of Dance Academy, Head of Drama Academy and Head of Productions and Presenting House. In a period of 8 years after graduation she has carved a niche in the Nigerian Dance industry and became a face associated with some Television shows in Nigeria and stage productions; some of which include Celebrity Takes 2 (Sponsored by Skye bank and produced by Spirit of David), Let’s Dance Nigeria (MNET), Maltina Dance All family show, currently a brand ambassador with Guinness Africa, (in the new Made of Black campaign) to mention a few. She is a three-time winner of National Couples Dance Championship organized by Spirit of David GDC in Nigeria.
Her dance education includes; Classical Ballet, contemporary/lyrical ballet, Creative Dance technique, Salsa, Modern, Modern Jazz, Contemporary, 5 Latin dance styles, 5 Ballroom styles, Nigerian indigenous dances, Bollywood, Tap, Hip-Hop, House, Argentine Tango and more.
She has studied dance with teachers from all over the world (France, United States of America, South Africa, Russia, Nigeria, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Ghana, etc.), has travelled to study, teach and perform several times throughout her career.
Lovette has choreographed and been part of hundreds of performances within and outside Nigeria.
She is the CEO and Artistic Director of Lovette’s BITS. BITS simply means Bringing It Totally Special. She is passionate about dance education, improving skills in children and creating opportunities for young people looking at exploring dance as a full time career .
Ben Ogbeiwi is a seasoned musician able to play multiple instruments. His love for music started in the 80s and after a few years as a member of a church choir, he auditioned for and became a member of the group 'Steve Rhodes Voices' in 1990.
Uncle Ben as he is popularly known as, is a pitch pefect vocal expert, music coordinator, voice-over artiste, vocal arranger and the King Of Mean on West Africa's Project Fame Academy.
Joke Silva (born 29 September 1961) is a Nigerian actress and director. She has received several awards and nominations for her work as an actress including the awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2nd Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2006, and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2008.
